Personality:

Once a stoic, always behelmeted, revenge-fueled, and prickly prick...Well, he's ditched the helmet, at least? And the rage. Estinien, these days, is a curious soul. He's socially awkward, blunt and tactless by default, stoic as a general rule, but not without humor. He teases those he considers close absolutely mercilessly, genuinely as affection though he has been known to overdo it, and Aymeric once remarked that he himself was often saved from potential disaster by “Estinien's tactless observations.” When he speaks, he speaks his mind, often blunt and straightforward, as he's not one to sugarcoat or waste anyone's time, including his own. He's not rude as a general rule, and perfectly capable of polite conversation, but he will always steer it to the point, in the end.

He's a little bit of a contradiction, as he is fiercely loyal and committed to the protection of his friends and loved ones, which now include Midgardsormr's brood, as Estinien has essentially...taken on the responsibility that Nidhogg once possessed. The contradiction occurs in the fact that Estinien is a determinedly anti-social loner, despite the fact that he falls into all teamwork situations flawlessly, rallies his allies with innate skill, and goes out of his way to support those that need it. He's been known to piss off dragons, and others, entirely on purpose, with the intent of motivating them into action.

It generally works.

He's particularly fearless in action, meeting most challenges with a smirk and ferocity both, tireless in battle, swooping in to rescue an unconscious friend from certain death, riding on the back of a dragon against countless new enemies, traveling the world solo just for the experience of it. Likewise, he's known to dodge attempts to communicate, conversation and summons alike, in his determination to remain a free agent. He's been known to jump out of windows to avoid a conversation he doesn't want to have. Or to travel even farther afield. However, he can always be counted on to turn up when he's needed.

Estinien has been through a number of transformations in recent history, and he's mellowed considerably for them while still retaining his edge. He's hopeful, curious, and seeking new experiences, while still deeply committed to his chosen family, still honing his craft as a dragoon, and still spending money like it has no meaning. If dried squid is involved, he's already there.


Abilities:

Dragoon: In short, he's extremely talented with a lance. These are just attacks for reference, but he's a skilled fighter, a world traveler, and now has an extra boost from having essentially blood bonded with a dragon, which also grants him some additional abilities such as recognizing the presence of a dragon, understanding the dragon language, and a few abilities that Nidhogg performed while possessing him, such as Horrid Roar (an aoe attack that can cause hysteria/disorientation for a short time) and Ala Morn which is a cleaving tank buster. Estinien can also use a limit break sparingly, with sufficient lead-up/preparation/anima accumulation (or something), which is a powerful, large-scale attack.

Does an absolute inability to comprehend money having value count as an ability?
